Daniel "Danny" Kieth Kendzora, 74, of St. Joseph, passed away January 20, 2026. Danny was born January 1, 1952 in St. Joseph, to Richard "Dick" and Mary R. (Noah) Kendzora.
He attended Cathedral and St. James Elementary Schools and graduated from Central High School. He served his country in the Missouri Air Guard with the rank of Sergeant.
He worked with his father at Dick's Refrigeration and later became the President of Dick's Heating and Cooling. He was proud to work with his sons, who are the fourth generation, in the heating and cooling business, now known as Kendzora Brothers Heating and Cooling.
He married Elizabeth Mann on May 22, 1993 in Liberty, MO, and she survives. Also surviving are son Andrew Kendzora (Peggy); daughter Melinda Speer; daughter-in-law Tabbitha Kendzora; sisters, Karen Kendzora, Jennifer Sprague; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Jeremy Kendzora and a granddaughter Constance Kendzora.
Danny's recreation was working, but he enjoyed deer, turkey, mushroom hunting and working with heavy equipment. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Friends of the St. Joseph Animal Shelter, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Visitation will be Monday, January 26, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, followed by a Celebration of Life service. Military honors will follow the service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held.
