Linda J. Howard, 83, of King City, Mo., passed away on February, 27, 2025.
Funeral Service will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville, Mo. on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 10 a.m., with Pastor Joel Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery in Helena, Mo.Visitation will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home in Maysville on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2-4 p.m.
Linda was born in Saint Joseph, Mo. to Murle and Mary Katherine on February 2, 1942. On November 4, 1960 she married Byron Howard. They were married 58 years until his passing in 2019.
Linda was a perfect farmer’s wife. She excelled in everything that such a life demands, whether it was her amazing cooking, being a seamstress, or gardening and canning, Linda did it all! Even driving the tractor, and dressing chickens. The biggest thing in her life however, was being a mother.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Brenda Jean (Randy) Vaughn, of Maysville, Mo. son, Marty Dean (Brenda Rae) Howard, Helena,Mo. daughter, Sherry Gail (Vernon) Smith, King City, Mo. grandchildren, Beau (Audrey), Danielle (Andrew), Matt (Kendra), Jaime (Jason), great grandchildren, Remington, Heston, Braelyn, Hadlee, and Paxton, sister, Donna Harrison, Helena, Mo. sister’s in law, Sandy and Mike Bomar, Amazonia, Mo. Tammy Burkman, Savannah, Mo. brother in law’s, Ronnie and Vickie Howard, St. Joseph, Mo. Larry Ellis, Helena, Mo. and Leonard Sharp, St. Joseph, Mo., many other relatives and a multitude of friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.
