Arlena "Faye" Aborn 1941 - 2024

Arlena “Faye” Aborn, 83 of Savannah, MO went to be with the Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 16, 2024 at Abundant Acres (formerly Shady Lawn) in Savannah. She was born April 29, 1941 in Arispie, IA to George & Arelene (Jones) Kimble. She married Virgil (Corky) Aborn in Flag Springs, MO on August 24,1958 and he preceded her in death in 2021. They raised their family in Amazonia MO before moving to Savannah, MO. 

Faye loved her Lord Jesus and served Him faithfully. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a hard-working woman at work or at home. She had many occupations throughout the years from homemaker to running Aborn Upholstery Shop in Amazonia MO all while chasing her grandkids around and spoiling them. If you spent more than 5 minutes with her, she would share her faith in the Lord with you and pray for you. 

Survivors include her children; children, Beth McDaniel of Savannah, MO, Michael Aborn, Sr, Kearney MO, and Debbie (John) Sportsman of Maitland, MO; grandchildren, Michael Aborn Jr, Kailea (Jared) Nauman, Kenny Jr (Kelli) McDaniel, Michelle (Scott) Panning, Tim Sportsman, Christopher (Kylee) Aborn , Bryson (Rachel) Aborn, and Kennedy (Trevor) Schafer, Honorary Granddaughter Cherilyn McWhirt; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren; brother, Mickey (Janet) Kimble of Maryville, MO and Carl Kimble of Stewartsville, MO; sister, Cathy (Jim) Holland of St. Joseph; Dean (Sue) Aborn of King City, MO and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her Step-Father David Thomas, Angie Greenhaw, Kenny Mcdaniel, Sr., Mary Annis Thurman, Dorothy and Linda Kimble, Eva Aborn, Monique Aborn and Kevin Aborn, Patty Kimble and Sharon Kimble.  

The visitation and family gathering will be 6:00pm – 8:00pm Thursday July 18, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home in Savannah, MO. Funeral Services will be 10:00am Friday July 19, 2024 at Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral services in Savannah MO at the Savannah Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Traditions Hospice at 3001 Frederick Ave. Saint Joseph, MO 64506 for the gracious care they provided Faye. Breit-Hawkins Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
