King City, MO: Janet Fay Hunsucker, 73, King City, MO passed away Monday, April 15, 2024, at a St. Joseph, MO nursing home.
She was born on January 18, 1951, in Maysville, MO the daughter of Virgil Ray and Neoma Roberta (Davis) Hunsucker.
Janet earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse for Albany Hospital, Harrison County Community Hospital, King City Manor, and was a hospice volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Neoma Roberta “Mickey” Hunsucker; father, Virgil Ray Hunsucker; and brother-in-law, Daniel Purvis.
Janet is survived by her brother, Jack (Melody) Hunsucker, King City, MO; sisters, Peggy Purvis, St. Joseph, MO, Vivian Hunsucker, Stanberry, MO, and Della (Robert) Tounzen, Kansas City, KS, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18 at Roberson Funeral Home, King City, MO. Burial will follow in Winslow Cemetery, King City, MO.
