Dianna Sue Bowen, 65, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 28, 1958 in St. Joseph, daughter of Barbara (Bunch) and Charles Leupold. She graduated from Lafayette High School, class of 1976 and attended the St. Joseph Beauty University. Dianna worked at State of Missouri as a Corrections Officer, from where she retired. She loved animals and was a devoted grandmother. Dianna was preceded in death by mother, Barbara Cox and father, Charles Leupold. Survivors include sons, Harold Owens of St. Joseph and Shane Silvey of Lees Summit, MO, brothers, Chuck Leupold (Peggy Bernard) of St. Joseph, Chip Cox of Bethany, MO and Dwain Cox of Bethany, MO, grandchildren, Trysdon, Tyler, Ciara, Kailey, Jace, Chase and Gabe and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday March 2, 2024 at Rupp Funeral Home. Pastor Leanna VanZandt-Nauman, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday March 2, 2024 at Rupp Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to the M'Shoogy's Animal Rescue or Friends of the Animal Shelter.
