She entered nurses training at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa and became an RN.

During the last five years of her career she taught CNA and supervisory classes at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. She retired in 1994 after 41 years of nursing.

For many years she and her husband enjoyed winter months on South Padre Island, Texas. In 2012 they moved to Oregon, Missouri to be near family, and met many more wonderful, loving friends.

Bev started playing the piano at the Dunlap Congregational Church when she was 13 years old. She then learned to play the pipe organ. Bev played at many different churches and enjoyed glorifying her Lord.

Her favorite pastimes were doing counted cross stitch, for which she received many ribbons at county fairs, and reading.

Her husband Norm died in 2021. They had been married 67 years. Others preceding her in death were her brother-in-law, Dick Kraus, and son-in-law, Terry Fetterman.
