Shellie Renee Kerns, 63, of Easton, Missouri, passed away at home the night of April 19th, 2026. The day she left us she had been doing what she loved, being at home, eating dinner around the table, and laughing with her family.
Danny and Shellie were united in marriage in 1993, residing in Easton, Missouri, where they raised their four amazing children.
Shellie is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Danny Kerns. She is also survived by her four children and 5 grandchildren: Sherri Roach (Tee-Jay), children: Olivia Ordonez, Chloe Roach; Rachael Wells (Aaron), children: Jacob Matter, Elizabeth Wells; Justin and Brenna Williams, children: Sophia Williams, Michael Kerns. Additional survivors include her sister, Kellie Manley (Matt) and her niece Alisha Ogden.
Shellie is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Seyfer, and her father, Bob Seyfer, her grandparents: Woodrow and Doris Wilson, and Anita Williams.
Everyone that knew Shellie knew that she was the most selfless, intelligent, witty, soul that there can be. She loved sitting outside talking to her flowers, painting with her grandchildren, and enjoying a good book. She was also the most honest person, with the best advice.
Shellie has been cremated under the care and direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel.
A visitation service to celebrate Shellie's life will be held at Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel at 3609 Frederick Blvd. St. Joseph, Missouri 64506 on Thursday April 23rd, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
A Memorial Service will be held at Heaton-Bowman-Smith-Sidenfaden Chapel on Friday, April 24th at 10:00 AM with graveside committal to follow at Blakely Cemetery.
