Phyllis Irene Conard 86, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Tuesday July 25, 2023 in St. Joseph. She was born May 1, 1937, daughter of the late Gertie & Theodore Lopez.
She graduated from Convent Sacred Heart. She worked in the fine jewelry department at JC Penney over 25 years, and was the South Side Avon representative for 25 years. Phyllis was involved in the PTA serving as president, and enjoyed being a homemaker and traveling internationally. She was a member of the St. James Catholic Church.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Gene, Ralph & Teddy Lopez, sisters, Frances Flores, Delores McGaughy, and Carmen Jacobs.
She is survived by sons, Mike (Judy) Conard, Galand (Jani) Conard, and Derek (Carol) Conard, daughter, Taira Conard (Paul Mitchel) all of Saint Joseph, MO, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, along with numerous nieces & nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Funeral Services following at 2:00 pm. The interment will be at the Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, MO.
