Paul Dean Shisler, 88, Stanberry, MO passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at an Albany, MO hospital.
He was born April 1, 1935 in Stanberry, MO the son of Harland “Dutch” and Marcella (Grantham) Shisler
Paul Dean graduated from Stanberry High School in 1953 and married Beverly June Stuart September 18, 1955. Beverly preceded him in death in 1988. A daughter Paula Elaine, and two sons, Paul Kevin and Bruce Lynn were born to this union.
On May 18, 1991 he married Ferne Smith and gained a step-daughter, Rhonda.
He began his farming career in the Grantham Community with his uncles, Roy and Everett Grantham. His whole life was spent working the land and raising livestock with his sons and later his grandsons, Clay and Steve Shisler. His hobby was work and for relaxation he found more work.
When he got away from the farm he enjoyed car races, machinery auctions, Branson and country music shows.
He leaves behind his wife, Ferne. His step-daughter Rhonda (Steve) Ford, Mt. Pleasant, IA; step-grandson Lance (Brandi) Cox; step great-grandsons, Cameron and Logan Cox, Hallsville, MO; daughter Paula (Mike) Sager, Stanberry, MO; their children and grandchildren, Emily (Chad) McGlamery, Cole and Brooks, Tucson, AZ; Carrie (Jason) Bubke, Khloe, Sawyer, and Bristol, Smithville, MO; Stuart (Megan) Sager, Sophia, Sadie, and Tate, Stanberry, MO; son Paul Kevin (Susan) Shisler, Albany, MO; their children and grandchildren, Vince Shisler, Kansas City, MO; Abby (Clinton) Nielson, Leah and Avery, Madisonville, LA; Steve (Ashley) Shisler, Kate, Owen, and Nora, Stanberry, MO; son Bruce (Becky) Shisler, Stanberry, MO; their children and grandchildren, Clay (Valerie) Shisler, Avah, Wyatt, and Lena, Albany, MO; Megan (Brian) McClure, Hudson and Everly, Olathe, KS; sister, Margaret Ann Cooper, Stanberry, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2023 at the First Christian Church, Stanberry, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Stanberry, MO. Burial will follow in the High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry, MO. The family will receive friends from 5:30–7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
