Helen Pittman Hardister passed from this life to eternal life April 23, 2024.
She was born July 30, 1938 to Sherman and Marie Pittman in Rosendale, Missouri. She attended Rosendale High School, graduating in 1956.
In 1957, Helen married John Moyer. To this union were born three children, Tina Louise Price, Maurice Taft Moyer, and Sheila Marie George.
In addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, Helen also was employed as a CNA at several nursing homes.
In 1994, she married Stanford Hardister. He passed away in 2004.
Others who predeceased her include her mother, Marie Pittman, and her father, Sherman Pittman; one sister, Mary Atkins; one brother, Larry Pittman; one grandson, Ryan Taft Moyer; and one daughter, Sheila George.
Helen is survived by daughter, Tina Price; son, Taft Moyer; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Shirley Standlea and Gloria Hurlbut; one brother, Garry Pittman; and several nieces and nephews.
Helen resided most of her life in Andrew and Buchanan counties. Most recently she lived at Anew Health Care, Savannah, MO, and under the loving care of 3 Rivers Hospice.
