Kurdonna Pauline (Plummer) Dozier was born in Fairfax, Missouri on March 5, 1955. She was one of seven children of Charles Allen Plummer and Viola Murlene (Wright) Plummer.
Kurdonna graduated from Savannah High School in 1973 and later that year married Larry Dozier on November 16, 1973. They became parents of two children.
Kurdonna worked at the Holt County Sheriff’s Department for a few years and later became a CNA working at Oregon Care Center. She enjoyed fishing and reading in her spare time.
Kurdonna passed away at the Oregon Care Center on January 18, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Plummer; and sister, Connie Leach.
Survivors include her husband Larry, of Oregon; daughter, Candie Dozier, Oregon; son and daughter-in-law, Frederick and Angela Dozier, Raytown, Missouri; three grandchildren, Garrett, Kelsee and Masen Dozier; two great grandchildren, Ellie and Izzy Dozier; sisters, Irene Cameron, Rawson, Ohio, Mary (Melvin) Lueck, Knob Noster, Missouri, Debbie Kerns and Barbara Rojas, both of Maryville, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial service, 11:00 am Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Missouri. The family will greet friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment at Benton Cemetery, Forest City, Missouri.
