Johnnie "John" Lee Davidson, Jr., age 64, of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. Born on August 26, 1961, to Johnnie Davidson, Sr. and Donna McPheter Davidson.
John was known for his easygoing nature and selfless spirit. He found joy in the simple things—fishing, tending to his yard, KC sports, & cooking for those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Davidson, Sr. and sisters; Melody (John) Starr, Cindy (Maurice "Russ") Russell Davidson, & Glenda "Gail" Davidson.
John leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. He is survived by his mother, Donna Davidson; his best friend and soulmate, Christy Caddell, and their beloved dog Mango; his children, Brittany (Michael) Ponce, Matthew (Kelsey) Davidson, and Jason Trump; & his grandchildren, Alexandra, Sophia, Luca John, Jason Jr., and one expected in June 2026. Siblings; Kelly (Dennis) Gentry, Barbara O'Neal, Stoney Davidson, Darryl (Michelle) Davidson, Scott Davidson, & Chris (Amy) Davidson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews & cousins.
John lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, and quiet generosity. John's presence was a quiet comfort to many, & his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Celebration of Life & potluck dinner will be held on Saturday, Nov 8, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. at the NALC Local 195 Hall at 2301 St Joseph Ave, St. Joseph, MO 64505.
