Woman from Savannah hospitalized after car becomes airborne

ANDREW COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Monday in Andrew County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1997 Saturn driven by Cynthia Hughes, 57, Savannah, was southbound on Business 71 four miles south of Savannah.

The vehicle traveled off the road, became airborne and came to rest in the median.

Andrew County EMS transported Hughes to Mosaic Life Care. She was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
