Sheri Lynn Smith, 63, Atchison, KS, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, MO.
Graveside service and burial of cremated remains will be 11:00 AM, Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Cummings Cemetery, Cummings, KS, with Chuck Tilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home.
Sheri was born March 7, 1959, in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Mildred (Stanley) Sherwood. She worked as a Certified Nursing Aid at numerous nursing homes and as a greeter at Wal-Mart. Sheri enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching her favorite TV shows.
Sheri married Earl Smith, they later divorced. Survivors include her daughter, Jessica and Josh Ballinger, Atchison, KS, a son John Smith, her mother Margaret Ann Morden, Des Moines, IA, four brothers, Jim, Jeff, Robert and Albert Sherwood, two sisters, Dawn Jones and Jill George, six grandchildren, Ally, Jaicie, Parker, Kynleigh Ballinger, Matthew Carroll II, Michael Carroll and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, Robert and Mildred Sherwood, Ronald Morden, daughters, Ann Morden and Amy Smith, two brothers, Paul Morden and Allan Sherwood.
