NODAWAY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Saturday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Chevy truck driven by Cory M. Cronk, 31, Maryville, was northbound on U.S. 71 one half mile north of Maryville,
A mattress from the bed of the pickup became unsecured, slid across the road and struck a southbound 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Kathryn L. Silvestre, 41, Shenandoah, Iowa.
Silvestre was ejected from the motorcycle. Nodaway County EMS transported her to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was not wearing a helmet, according to the MSHP.
