Patricia Kaye Dougherty passed away at her home in St. Joseph, Missouri on Saturday, March 21st.
Patricia was born in St. Joseph on May 31st, 1950. Patty graduated from Benton High School, and retired from Albaugh Industries as the office manager after many years of service.
Patty is survived by her husband, Mark Dougherty, her son, Sean (Stacey) Hendrix, step-son, Clinton (Mackenzie) Dougherty, and two grandchildren, Audrey & Isaac. As well as one sister, Cheryl (Roger) Fritzel, three brothers, Terry (Gloria) Clapsaddle, Sonny (Margie) Balabon, and Robbie (Cindy) Balabon. Her uncles and aunt, plus many nieces & nephews. All of whom she loved very much.
Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Shroyer, her brother, Larry Clapsaddle. As well as, her grandfather, Leo Peek, two grandmothers, Georgia Fern and Jessie Peek, and her first husband, Rick Hendrix.Patty loved spending time with her family & friends, traveling on vacation with her husband Mark; especially visiting Shawn & Stacey in Florida. She also enjoyed working in her yard & helping at her church. She was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church in St. Joseph, Missouri. Patty was an amazing person, she will always hold a special place in the hearts of her loved ones and be greatly missed by all that knew her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday at Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 27, 2026 at Rupp Funeral Home, The Interment will follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
