Born on September 14, 1934, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to George and Della (Druery) Orcutt. She was a proud graduate of Wathena High School.

She married Leo Edward Sexton Jr. on Valentines Day in 1958. They built a family full of love and laughter, with a strong dedication to their children. Leo preceded her in death on December 11, 2008. Fifteen years later to the day, Helen has reunited with her beloved husband in heaven.

After starting their family, Helen dedicated her time to being a devoted homemaker who created a nurturing environment for all who crossed her threshold. Her home was not just a structure, but a sanctuary filled with laughter, kindness, and care.

Helen loved to sing. She was a game show enthusiast who also enjoyed scratch-off tickets. Above all, she was a faith filled, God loving woman. She always had a kind word to say, never uttering a harsh word to others. She was “one tough woman” according to her children, as she persevered through all of life’s challenges with a positive attitude.

Helen loved her family deeply. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her immense joy. She was a beacon of light and love, and she will be dearly missed.
