PLATTE COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 8p.m. Tuesday in Platte County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Honda passenger vehicle driven by Musa Adbi, 22, Kansas City, was southbound on Interstate 29 just south of Mexico City Avenue.
The Honda traveled off the road, struck the cable barrier, returned to the road and struck a southbound 2014 Mitsubishi passenger vehicle driven by David G. Heise, 71, St. Joseph, on the drivers side.
After impact, the Mitsubishi traveled off the road and struck a ditch. The Honda then traveled off the road and struck the Mitsubishi in the ditch.
Heise was treated at the scene. Adbi was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
