Phyllis Ross, 84, Savannah, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2024.
She was born September 6, 1940 in Leona, Kansas, to Harold and Gladys (Blakley) Hixson. She attended Lafayette High School.
Phyllis married Sam Ross on August 1, 1959. They were married for 57 years until he passed away in 2016.
She worked for 15 years in a daycare and several other years of home care. Her calling in life was taking care of the little ones.
Phyllis was an avid reader, sometimes reading a book in a day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; her parents; three brothers, Larry, Dennis and Gordon Hixson; and one sister, Gloria Marshall.
Survivors include her children, Kim (Donnie)Ramsey, Rick Ross, Brian (Sara) Ross, Rob (Susan) Ross; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Farewell Services and Interment 10:00 AM. Monday, Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. The procession will leave from the funeral home.
