Katheryn Kelly
We gather to remember and celebrate the life of Katheryn "Kathy" Kelly, who passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 15, 2023. As we await the details of her memorial service, we reflect on Kathy's vibrant and impactful life.
Born to Reaona “Rae” and the late Fernand “F.J.” Kelly, Kathy was a beacon of light and love from her earliest days. Affectionately known as Kaki or Kat to her family, she formed a deep and loving bond with her siblings, Marsha and Logan, and was a source of warmth and joy within her family circle.
In her professional life as an accountant, Kathy worked in various industries, including health, transportation, and commercial construction. Her colleagues admired her not only for her professional acumen but also for her extraordinary kindness and readiness to help.
Kathy was a fervent animal lover and had a special affinity for dogs. As a lifelong pet parent and an active member of the local kennel club, she shared an unbreakable bond with her beloved dog, Tubby, and her love extended to all animals she encountered.
Kathy's love for travel took her on many adventures, including a memorable trip to the Oregon coast with her sister, Marsha. This journey was a nostalgic return to a state they once called home during their teenage years, filled with joyous reminiscences and new experiences.
Her life was a beautiful tapestry of love, kindness, and generosity. Kathy was always there for anyone in need, from helping a neighbor with errands to aiding her younger brother Logan with his homework. Her spirit of giving knew no bounds.
Kathy leaves behind a loving legacy, embraced by her mother, Reaona Kelly, her sister, Marsha Botts, her brother, Logan Kelly, and her adored dog, Tubby. She is also fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends. Through each of them, Kathy's warmth, love, and spirited influence continue to shine.
As we honor Kathy, we invite her friends and family to share their memories and celebrate the remarkable life she led. Information about acknowledgments and opportunities for donations in her memory will be provided in due course.
Kathy's passing leaves a void in our lives, but her legacy of love, kindness, and joyous spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her. She was not just a family member and a friend; she was a source of light and joy, and her memory will be treasured and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
