Betty Jean Klepees, 93, of St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026 at a local health care facility.
She was born May 16, 1932 in St. Joseph, daughter of Vera and Opal Porter. She graduated from Benton High School. Betty worked several jobs including HD Lee, AmeriPack, Custom Cable and KCI Airport, but spent most of her career as a Certified Nurses Aide. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Julius Klepees, children, Kenneth Klepees, Patrick Klepees, Bette Ann Munger, and John Klepees, and brother, Jerry Porter. Survivors include children, Joy (Dale) Shifflett of St Joseph, Kerren (Ed) Poirer of Wathena, KS, Jeff (Jennifer) Klepees of St. Joseph and Judy (Mitch) Saslow of NY, sister, Virginia Gerber of Savannah, MO and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ms. Klepees has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home.
