ANDREW COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before 2a.m. Sunday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Toyota Matrix driven by Thomas J. Simonson, 26, St. Joseph, was southbound on Route D six miles north of St. Joseoph.
The driver attempted to avoid a deer. The car crossed the center line and the driver overcorrected. The car traveled off the west side of the road and overturned.
Andrew County EMS transported Simonson, and passengers Brittany M. Cunningham, 34, and a 3-year-old girl both from St. Joseph, to Mosaic Life Care. Simonson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP.
