Bethellen A Morgan, 86 of St Joseph passed away quietly on December 6, 2023.
The youngest daughter of William and Bythellyn Hart she was born May 30, 1937 and lived in St Joseph most of her life, graduating from Central High School in 1956.
After graduation she began working at Arthur Murray as a dance instructor where she met her husband Donald G Morgan. They married that same year and remained happily together until Don’s death in 2012.
Beth Anne was a homemaker. She enjoyed her garden, sewing, cooking and especially her family including her favorite companion, her cat Tigger.
Also proceeding her in death are her parents, sister; Eleanor Hart, brother; Edward Hart and son; Mark R Morgan.
She is survived by her daughter; Renee (Ray) Meng of Wathena, Ks; daughter-in-law; Pam Morgan of Mexico, Mo; sister-in-law; Martha Christman, St Joseph; six grandchildren; Tommy (Kari) Morgan, St Joseph; Mallory Woosley, Austin, Tx; Kelsey (Bryce) Tafolla, Kansas City, Mo; Andria Meng, St Joseph; Becky Morgan, Mexico, Mo; Angie Morgan, Kansas City, Mo; two great grandsons; Jackson and Valin and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel in St Joseph, MO, from 5:00 -7:00 PM.
A funeral service will be held at Copeland Baptist Church in St Joseph at a later date.
The family suggests memorials contributions be made to Copeland Baptist Church where she was a member or the Doniphan County Kansas Animal Shelter.
