The Kansas City Royals will not be the only local team heading to Dyersville, Iowa, as the Plattsburg Tigers and the Maysville Wolverines will also play at the historic movie site in April.
On April 30th, 2027, Plattsburg and Maysville will take the field in Dyersville. First pitch in the game will be at 5pm between the two teams, pitting two powerhouses from northwest Missouri against each other who were both on the brink of the state tournament last season.
Plattsburg is coming into the season off a 21-12 campaign last year, where the Tigers fell in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 15 Tournament to the district runners up North Platte. Maysville on the other hand finished last season 22-8, and were the district runners up in Class 2 District 16, after falling to King City in the championship game.
