Marilynn Burks, 75, St. Joseph, Missouri; passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital onMonday, June 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Marilynn was born on April 26, 1949 in Stanberry, Missouri to the late Lloyd andMary Jo (Womach) Miller. She was a 1967 graduate of King City High School.
Marilynn married Chester LaVern Burks on June 12, 1970. She was a devoted wife,mother and grandmother.
Beyond devoting her life caring for her family, Marilynn also worked at AmericanFamily Insurance for numerous years.
Mrs. Burks was talented in arts and crafts, and enjoyed scrapbooking, needlepointand sewing. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and was adoting grandma.
Marilynn is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Chester; son, Tim Burksand wife, Jen; daughter, Pamela Osborn and husband Barry; four grandchildren,Zachary, Alexa, Courtney and Cody and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Marilynn was preceded in death by her brother andsister-in-law, Marvin and Luane Miller.
Funeral Service 1:00 Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Heaton-Bowman-Smith SavannahChapel, 307 South 6 th Street, Savannah, MO 64485. Interment SavannahCemetery, Savannah, Missouri.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2024 at our chapel.
