ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas felon on new charges after an arrest.

Early Wednesday, police arrested Melissa L. Pospisil, 36, Atchison, was arrested on Wednesday on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.

Pospisil has four previous convictions that involve drugs use or possession, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
