NODAWAY COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 3a.m. Thursday in Nodaway County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Honda Odyssey driven by a 35-year-old Maryville man was southbound on South Avenue just west of Crestview Drive in Maryville. The van traveled off the south side of the road and the driver overcorrected. The vehicle traveled off the north side of the road, struck a ditch, rolled and struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene and was transported to Price Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims..
