ANDREW COUNTY—A St. Joseph woman was arrested after an accident just before 1:30a.m. Friday in Andrew County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Kia Sorrento driven by Danielle L. Swiastyn, 29, St. Joseph, was northbound on Business 71 at U.S. 59. The SUV traveled off the east side of the road, struck two signs and then returned to the road.
Swiastyn refused treatment at the scene but was later arrested on requested charges of DWI alcohol and failure to drive within the right lane of the highway with two or more lanes in the same directions resulting in an accident, according to online jail records. The Patrol did not report her seat belt usage information.
