The Missouri Department of Conservation is giving the chance for young aspiring hunters to bag their first deer at a new youth antlerless deer hunt in Trenton December 12th. Youth ages 11 to 15 are invited to sharpen their hunting skills, learn about deer management, hunting safety, and wildlife conservation.
"This event is an opportunity to help young hunters build confidence, develop safe hunting practices, and gain a better understanding of Missouri’s wildlife resources," said MDC Conservation Agent Joshua Paskiewicz. "By providing hands-on instruction and guidance, we hope to encourage the next generation of responsible hunters and conservationists."
Young hunters must have completed Hunter Education certification, and registration is open the entirety of November.
