Eldon Charles Sells, 88, St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
He was born December 11, 1936 to Leo H. and Mary L. (Gaddie) Hockaday in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Eldon married Beatrice “Bea” Gail Kerns on March 29, 1958.
He served on the United States Navy. He was also member and deacon of Savannah Avenue Baptist Church.
Eldon enjoyed spending his time watching westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 62 years; daughters, Gail Sells and Diana King; siblings, Bill Sells, Connie Hartman, Emery Hockaday, and Delores Platte.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Sells Washington (Steven); 4 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild on the way; siblings, Joyce Scott and Dean Hockaday; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 1:00 P.M. Friday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
