Katherine Frances Harbison 1939 - 2024

Katherine Frances Harbison went to be with our Heavenly Father on June 5, 2024. Katherine was born on September 10, 1939. 

She was the first born daughter of Charles Stevens and Agnes Ellsworth. She was the oldest of eight siblings. Katherine graduated from Lafayette high school in 1959. and married Albert William Harbison on June 21, 1959. She traveled the world with her husband and children while he was active duty army. She retired in 2001 from Central high school where she worked in the cafeteria. She was an active member of Maxwell Heights church, she was a member of the Order Eastern Stars, Savannah chapter 223 where she served as District Deputy Grand Matron in 2006, also membership in White Shrines, Beauceant, and Grand Cross of Colors. She also was very active with the Rainbow Girls. 

Katherine gave her life in service to others and loved doing it. 

On June 20, 2024 she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband one day prior to their 65th wedding anniversary.

Katherine is proceeded in death by her parents, her Husband, Bob Stevens (brother) and Henry Ellsworth (brother)   

Katherine is survived by her siblings Wayne Stevens (Linda), Mary Hendrickson (Don), Elizabeth Current, Richard Ellsworth and Carolyn Ledford(Gary), her five children, Albert Harbison, Brenda Goodman (Dallas), Cheryl Leggans (James), Cristina Pickett (Brian), Charles Harbison. Her 12 grandchildren, Lyndi, Mindy, Tyler, Christie, Ashley, Laura, Joshua, Crystal, Kristen, Shyanne, Charissa and Marissa, her great grandchildren Nolan, Westin, Morgan Hayley, Brooks, Evelyn, Beckham, Dallis, Knox, Barrett, Nash,Vanidy and Mati. Her brother-in-law, Donald Walker and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will recieve friends from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. At 3:00 PM, during the visitation, a brief Eastern Star tribute will be held.

Funeral Service 1:00 PM, Monday also at our chapel. 

The interment will be at Leavenworth National Cemetery at a later date.
