Peggy Lee Hart, age 69, of Rosendale, MO, passed away February 25th after a courageous two-year battle with lung cancer.
Peggy was born in Bertha, MN to Ervin and Stella Warner. She grew up on the family farm in Long Prairie, MN. Peggy graduated from Browerville High School in May of 1972. Upon graduation, she moved to Melrose MN then later to St. Paul, MN. It was in St Paul that she met her first husband, Terry Charter.
Peggy and Terry had one daughter, LeeAnn Marie Warner. In 1998, Peggy moved to Spring Valley, WI. It was there that she met her second husband, Steven Hart. Peggy and Steve later separated, and in 2000 Peggy moved to Rosendale, MO to be with her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Larry Lewis.
Peggy was a hard worker. She had many different jobs over the years. She worked many years at Ramsey Hospital in St. Paul, and she worked for 17 years at Laverna Senior Living in Savannah, MO as a Cook. During her employment, she got her CNA certification. She enjoyed her job there and was always ready to help others. After her retirement, she continued to work part time doing private home health care for an elderly patient.
Peggy loved to forage for mushrooms, do woodworking, make greeting cards, and do scrapbooking. She enjoyed travelling. One of her favorite trips was to a dude ranch in Arizona. She especially liked to be with family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Leeann Warner, her sisters Donna Warner, and Judy Lewis, her brother Michael Warner, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Stella Warner, brothers Richard Warner, John Warner, and Howard Warner, sisters Harriet Barriault and Roseann Vogel, as well as sister Mary Dick who died in infancy.
Visitation will be Friday, March 8th from 6:00- 7:00 pm and her funeral on Saturday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m. Both will be held at the Rosendale Christian Church in Rosendale, MO.
