The Sound of Speed Airshow this weekend at Rosecrans Memorial Airport in St. Joseph will also serve as a fundraiser close to the 139th Airlift Wing’s heart.
It’s called Kickback for Cody which raises money to promote organ donations and more.
Captain Owen Compton with the Air National Guard 139th says Kick Back for Cody is an organization founded by his family.
“Cody Harter was a loadmaster with the 180th Airlift Squadron who was tragically taken from us about 3 years ago and this organization is one that our airshow felt very worthy of partnering with,” Compton tells St. Joseph Post.
Compton says it's going to be a Cross-Fit style challenge event.
“It’s going to be a great workout and it’s going to be a good time and the proceeds go back to the Kick Back for Cody organization,” says Compton.
Kickback for Cody is an organization raising money to promote education for organ donation, education on road rage, and annual scholarships. The fee to enter the Cross-Fit fundraiser is $54.
