Two hospitalized in St. Joe after car strikes a deer

GENTRY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 2a.m. Thursday in Gentry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Buick LaCrosse driven by a 24-year-old Maryville man was westbound on U.S. 136 just west of CR 435 two miles west of Stanberry. The vehicle struck a deer.

Grand River ambulance transported the driver an an 18-year-old female passenger to Mosaic in St. Joseph. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer reports names of accident victims.
