Russell Earl Jobes, Jr., 80, of St. Joseph, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Jobes was born on February 20, 1943 in St. Joseph to the late Russell E. Jobes, Sr. and Dorothy L. (Pauly) Jobes.
After graduating high school, he embarked on a career as an electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 545 and spent several decades in the trade until his retirement.
Russell married Sharon Pinson in April of 1974. Mrs. Jobes survives him of the home.
He was a member of the Community Christian Church and the St. Joseph Rifle and Pistol Club and took part in numerous Sport Shooting Competitions achieving many high honors for his marksmanship. He was also an avid hunter.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, He is survived by children; Jeffery Jobes, Todd Reynolds, Kelly Henry and Amy Reynolds and sister; Marsha.
Mr. Jobes has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel.
There are no formal services scheduled, however, the family will receive friends 1:00-3:00 PM Friday, December 1st at the family home.
An inurnment will be held at a later date at Bennett Lane Cemetery in Savannah.
