Due to a high number of staff absences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and other illnesses, the St. Joseph School District has opted to cancel classes Tuesday and Wednesday.
District officials have announced that classes will be canceled for Tuesday and Wednesday. There will not be remote learning during this time.
"The decision to close schools for the next couple of days was not taken lightly. Unfortunately, we have many administrators, teachers, support staff and bus drivers who are ill, preventing them from reporting to work," district officials say.
The St. Joseph School District will keep people updated on the return to classes as it evaluates the situation.
