Betty Jean Duncan 1932 - 2024

Betty Jean Duncan 92, of Agency, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at a St. Joseph health care facility. She was born September 27, 1932 in Gentry County, MO, daughter of Martha Cecil and Edgar Gillpatrick.

She attended Albany Schools.  In 1962, she married George "Bill" Duncan. Betty worked many jobs, including Chase Candy Co, Westab, and Mead Products. She was an avid Bowler, and enjoyed playing softball. Betty kept a beautiful home, and often stayed busy with sewing, cooking, doing crafts and ceramics. She also enjoyed traveling alongside her husband Bill on their motorcycle with the Shriner's. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, and served as Past President and The Order of The Eastern Star.

Betty was preceded in death by husband, George "Bill" William Duncan, her parents, 3 sons, David, Roger, and Jim, her siblings, Leola, Lloyd, Kenneth, Ginny, A.C., Gerald, and Larry.

Survivors include: children, Pamela (Ronald) Hitchings of Agency, MO, Max Kendall of St. Joseph, Dan (Jacky) Stewart of St. Joseph, brother, Bob (Sandy) Gillpatrick of Overland Park, KS, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Rupp Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Barnett officiating. The Interment will follow at the Savannah Cemetery. The family would like to express their appreciation for the care provided by St. Joseph Manor and Rehabilitation.
