HARRISON COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 4a.m. Thursday in Harrison County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2019 Freightliner driven by Ibrahim A. Mohamud,&nbsp; 40, Lexington, Nebraska, was southbound on Interstate 35 two miles south of Bethany.

After entering a construction zone, the semi traveled off the west side of the&nbsp; road, struck a guardrail, a concrete bridge rail, overturned on its top and blocked southbound traffic.

A passenger identified as Guled A. Abib, 21, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Mohamud was not injured.&nbsp;

The MSHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
