ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. —Two people were injured in an accident just before 11a.m. Thursday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara driven by a 68-year-old Tarkio woman was eastbound on U.S. 136 at Route M seven miles east of Tarkio. The front passenger side of the SUV struck the driver's side of an eastbound 1992 Chevy Silverado driven by a 29-year-old Blanchard, Iowa man.
EMS transported the pickup driver and a 67-year-old passenger in the SUV to Mosaic in Maryville. The passenger in the SUV was not wearing a seat belt, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
