Angela Kay Thayer, 53, of Elwood, Kansas, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023 at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. She was born June 8, 1970 in Fort Benning, Georgia, daughter of Sharon & Garey Jagodzinski. She graduated from Central High School, class of 1988. She married Elroy Thayer on June 1, 2001 in Wathena, KS. She worked as a CNA. Angie enjoyed doing hand crafts, and crocheting, and she enjoyed making and gifting doctor puppy dog plush toys to her doctors. She was preceded in death by her father, Garey Jagodzinski. She is survived by her mother, Sharon Jagodzinski of Elwood, KS, husband, Elroy Thayer of Elwood, KS, children, Elroy IV (Mindy) Thayer, of St. Joseph, Stacy Wertenberger of St. Joseph, Garey (Liz) Jagodzinski of Killeen, TX, and Terry (Madison) Smith of Elwood, KS, and Amy (Adam) Amos of Elwood, KS, sisters, Tammy (Jerry) Walker of Elwood, KS and Penny (Katie) Jagodzinski of Elwood, KS, and 10 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She will be cremated under the care of the Rupp Funeral Home.
