Cole Ragans pitched a solid six innings but the Royals offense struggled to produce runs and Kansas City fell for a third game in a row losing to the Oakland Athletics 5-1 at the Oakland Coliseum.&nbsp;

After Oakland scored two runs in the third inning, the Royals would get within one run in the top of the fifth, Bobby Witt Jr hitting a double to score Nelson Velasquez.&nbsp; But that's where the offense would end for Kansas City.&nbsp;

Ragans surrendered just four hits and two runs over six innings of action, striking out seven batters.&nbsp; John Schreiber would come on in relief in the seventh, surrendering two more runs. Oakland would add their final run in the eighth inning.&nbsp;

Both the Royals and Athletics had eight hits each in the game.&nbsp; Witt Jr and Kyle Isbel were both 2 for 4 in the effort, with Witt Jr. driving in the lone run of the game.&nbsp;

The Royals will look to snap their three game losing streak in the series finale in Oakland on Thursday.&nbsp; First pitch will be at 2:37pm with a 2pm pregame on KFEQ (680AM/95.3FM).&nbsp; Seth Lugo will start for Kansas City against Mitch Spence for Oakland.
