ATCHISON COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on new charges after a weekend arrest.
On Sunday, police arrested Austin L. Lurquin, 23, Atchison, in the 400 block U.S. 59 on a Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in court, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
During that arrest he was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and faces additional charges. He is being held in the Atchison County Jail for the third time since June of 2020.
