CLINTON COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 3p.m. Sunday in Clinton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Toyota Corolla driven by Jurell P. Medina, 26, Kansas City, was eastbound on MO 116 one mile east of Lathrop.
The vehicle was traveling too fast for conditions. The Toyota began to spin and slid into the path of a westbound on 2009 Chevy Silverado driven by Wendell D. Segar, 47, Polo. The Toyota struck the Chevy head-on.
Tri-County Ambulance transported Medina to Liberty Hospital. Cameron Ambulance transported a passenger in the Toyota Nezareth M. Viramontes, 37, Kansas City, to Liberty Hospital. Segar was not injured. The MSHP did not have complete seat belt information.
