Jeanne Karlyn Meers 84, of Agency, MO, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 27th , 2024 surrounded by her loving family.Jeanne was known as Karlyn to family and friends. She was born on July 2nd , 1939, to Cleatis Valentine and Frances (Protzman) Valentine. Shewas preceded in death by her parents and both siblings; Ronnie Valentine and Sondra Lansaw.
Karlyn is survived by her loving husband Warren Meers, of 52 years, and her 7 children: Debi (Steve) Rush, Mike (Jeanne) Myers, Julie Myers, Todd (Nancy) Myers, Angie (Gregg) Mears, Darren (Jo Ann) Myers, and Jennifer (Jonathan) Miller. She also left behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Karlyn graduated from Convent of the Sacred Heart in 1958. She married Warren Meers at the Platte City First Christian Church on March 11 th , 1972. She worked at Safeway as a cashier, cleaned houses, and was a homemaker for her 7 children. Karlyn loved painting, gardening, and learning to play the piano. She was active in her kids’ lives attending their many sports games and extracurricular activities. She loved hosting large family dinners for her children and grandchildren. Karlyn’s family remember her as sassy, stubborn, and feisty. She had a strong love for God and her family.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Thursday, February 1st at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Funeralservice will follow at 2:00pm.
