Three first-year college students have been awarded the Lowell C. Kruse Healthy Choices. Healthy Lives. scholarship for 2023 by the Mosaic Life Care Foundation.
The Mosaic Foundation says Shawn (Aiden) Gregory, attending the University of Kansas; Jordan Moser, attending Missouri Western State University; and Laura Nold, attending the University of Missouri will each received a $10,000 scholarship to help offset tuition costs.
Moser, a 2023 scholarship awardee, takes pride in the quality and safety of nursing and wants to instill similar values in up-and-coming nurses.
“I applied for the Kruse scholarship because I take ownership and pride in my values and want to continue to educate new nurses with everything they need to know to be successful in this ever-growing profession,” Moser said in a written statement released by the foundation.
The Kruse Scholarship provides financial assistance to a first-year, full-time graduate student studying in areas leading to improved quality of life for the residents of the Mosaic Life Care service region.
To honor the leadership of former Heartland Health President Lowell Kruse, Mosaic Life Care created the scholarship, which is managed by Mosaic Life Care Foundation.
