Donna Marie Ahrndt (Ruch), 69, of Leavenworth, KS, passed away peacefully on November 1st, 2025 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on June 16th, 1956 at Cushing Memorial Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas to Roy and Margie Ruch.
Donna was a graduate of Pleasant Ridge High School in Easton, Ks., class of 1975. She is preceded in death by her husband Wayne. Donna is survived by her two children Thomas (TJ) Jackson Jr. (Teresa) and Heather Bohnsack (Jeff) both of Leavenworth, KS. and her five grandchildren Brayden Jackson, Ruben (RJ) McDowell, Carter Jackson, Jonah Jackson and Madelyn Bohnsack as well as many nieces and nephews. She worked as a seamstress for Aramark in Lansing, KS for 23 years, where she retired. She later worked part-time as a bus monitor for Easton Bus Service in Leavenworth, KS.
In her free time she enjoyed making crafts, collecting cookie jars, spending time with her grandchildren and playing with her dogs KC and Rusty. Donna enjoyed watching and rooting for the Kansas Jayhawks, Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals. She always looked forward to the next game day! Donna made friends easily, her jovial demeanor, outgoing personality and friendly attitude was contagious and she loved to make people smile and laugh. Her quirky sense of humor helped make her who she was.
Donna had a love of gardening, she had a green thumb and quite a knack for bringing dead plants back to life again. She will be greatly missed and her lasting impact on the lives of those who knew her will never be forgotten. A celebration of life/visitation service will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 2025 from 4-6pm with the funeral service to begin at 6pm. The service will be held at Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth Kansas.
