New COVID-19 cases slow down in Buchanan County

It appears new COVID-19 cases have eased a bit in Buchanan County.

St. Joseph health officials report 44 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, after reporting only 21 on Monday. Another death, though, has been reported, bringing the county death toll to 42.

St. Joseph health officials report a man in his 80’s with underlying health issues died of COVID-19.

Buchanan County reported 26 new cases on Saturday with 29 on Sunday, far fewer than what had been reported each of the previous five days.

Total COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began stands at 3,569 in Buchanan County.

Mosaic Life Care reports 57 COVID-19 patients being treated in St. Joseph as of Wednesday morning with one in Maryville.

Andrew County reports eight new cases of coronavirus, bringing its total to 573. Andrew County has recorded four deaths.

Doniphan, Kansas health officials report 182 total cases.

Missouri health officials report 159,625 total cases, resulting in 2,615 deaths.

Kansas health officials report a total of 72,968 total cases and 872 deaths.
