After the completion of maintenance and the biannual bridge inspection the double decker bridge on Interstate 229 on the west side of St. Joseph has been reopened.
Along with the bridge all ramps between U.S. Route 36 and Highland Avenue were also reopened on Wednesday, September 30th. The bridge was reopened early due to the weather. Crews do plan to return the week of October 12th thorough the 16th to complete inspection of the on and offramps. More information, including ramp closure timing, will be shared by the Missouri Department of Transportation once it becomes available.
