ATCHISON COUNTY —Four people were injured in an accident just after 9p.m. Thursday in Atchison County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Ford Taurus driven by Bonnie S. Womeldorff, 47, Westboro, was eastbound on Route C one mile west of Westboro.
The car traveled off the north side of the road, struck the embankment, became airborne, struck the ground and the front drivers side struck an embankment.
Lifeflight transported Womeldorff to Mosaic Life Care. Atchison-Holt EMS transported passenger James R. McDonald, 28, Westboro, to Fairfax Community Hospital. They also transported passengers Ethan J. Colwell, 19, and Makayla S. Kephart, 18, both of Westboro to Shenandoah Medical Center. The passengers in the car were not wearing seat belts, according to the MSHP.
