MSHP: St. Joseph man fell asleep, semi struck stop sign

CALDWELL COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 3a.m. Wednesday in Caldwell County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Kenworth semi driven by Irvine E. McQueen, 42, St. Joseph, was eastbound on U.S. 36 four miles east of Hamilton.

The driver fell asleep and the vehicle traveled off the north side of the road and struck a stop sign.  McQueen refused treatment at the scene. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
